Is he the most patronising sportsman ever? white washed priestly 8-0 and then started crying on Sky because he's got a 'soft spot' for him!! I know he's earned the right to say what he wants but i'm surprised someone hasn't cracked him by now!

Can never make my mind up whether or not I like him- sometimes he's a right tosser, name-dropping ( me and Ricky/Robbie) and been patronising and then other times he seems quite humble- genuinely think he felt bad at white-washing Priestley

Phil Taylor is England's equivalent to Don Bradman and others legendary sporting icons due to him being so far in front of his peers for such a long time and have a winning record that nobody who has ever played the game/sport has and ever will come close to.

If he shows good will to an opponent he's patronising, he is doesn't he's arrogant, the bloke can't win with some.

Genius????????????

It's darts. He's the best ever at it and he's good at maths but it's hardly a game of creativity is it? He hardly gives you a "what will he do next?" moment.

As to whether I like him or not, I think he's so much better than everyone else he needs to be a personality, and he doesn't have one. He seems a bit thick to me and i think he is interviewed so often after winning he's running out of new stuff to say.

Is darts a sport? YES

Is Phil Taylor a sportsman? YES

Is Phil Taylor's winning record and trophy haul above anybody else who's ever played the sport? YES

Just because darts isn't your sport of choice, doesn't make his superiority any less worthy.

Perhaps he should have become a real athlete and taken up twatting a golf ball around a piece of grass to get the adulation of middle aged, middle class wankers

Listen cunter6 I play darts, snooker, pool, domino`s, 3 card brag etc but i`m affraid they are no where near a sport they are pub games,, Taylor is indeed head and shoulders above the rest in his recreational field, but to compare him to bradman is like comparing a middle aged middle class golfer to tiger woods!

The guy is a c*** but fair play to him, he is different class and deserves all the attributions.

Priestley is a legend! Missed that game - 8 - 0, that's horrendous

I've met Taylor on numerous ocassions on non-darts related business. He's certainly not arrogant and is close to his roots, but my god, unless you are talking about darts he's one boring man!

Taylor is a legend for what he has done in the sport, but lets not forget, he has been done for sexually assaulting two birds. Jacko never found guilty but is classed as a nonce, Taylor was found guilty but it never gets mentioned.
