***** Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United Official Matchday Thread*****
Leeds could hand a debut to Jay-Roy Grot in Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash against Nottingham Forest, live on Sky Sports Football.

The 19-year-old arrived at Elland Road from Nijmegen earlier this week in the wake of Chris Wood's club record £15m move to Premier League.

Chris Wood has departed for Burnley but Samuel Saiz and Kemar Roofe have caught the eye

Head coach Thomas Christiansen made nine changes for the midweek Carabao Cup demolition of League Two Newport, handing full debuts to Eoghan Stokes and Madger Gomes.

However, it was Kemar Roofe who caught the eye with a hat-trick in a 5-1 win and he will hope for another chance to impress in the Sky Bet Championship.

Highlights of the Carabao Cup game between Leeds and Newport

Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton will make a handful of changes against Leeds.

Warburton swapped six players for the League Cup win at Newcastle and he will revert back to something like the team that started last weekend's Championship victory over Middlesbrough.

Daryl Murphy struck against Boro in the league last time out

After 120 minutes of football at St James' Park, some players are feeling the effects and Andreas Bouchalakis had to come off at half-time during the second-round tie due to stiffness.

Tendayi Darikwa, Matt Mills, Daryl Murphy and Barrie McKay are among those players expected to be restored to the Reds' starting line-up, while new signing Liam Bridcutt will also be available. Midfielder David Vaughan is injured and will be assessed.

Post in Let's all laugh at scum Kewell

That's the thing, we was. The cunt had it all and in spades. He was pretty quick, could go past players like they weren't there, good in the air, could pick a pass and had a great shot. Plus he was left sided which made him even more valuable because most players are right footed. But he fucked it all up. He became a self-centred, self obsessed, look at me cunt, who didn't think for one second about anything other than himself. He was the complete self before side disciple, even before it was totally fashionable for players to be so self absorbed their personal care routine was more important than how they played.

He fucked Leeds over at a time we were completely broke. He fucked Liverpool over with a series of 'injuries' which, if he'd been an animal would have resulted in a bullet to the head. In fact the only problem with the aussie cunt was that if he'd been shot in the head there was so little going on up there he'd have been able to carry on as normal. Then the cunt went to turkey and re-wrote history to such an extent that he should have been banned from English football for life. And now he's passing on his life skills to young footballers? It's like inviting a pedophile to a children's party and leaving him in charge for a year or 2. He's a vile excuse of a human being and he can fuck right off. The cunt.

***Away Fan Watch*** - We Want Our Bawlbag
Yes we're back - "hurrah" you cry

Away Fan Watch is back after a call from Big Radz who says the lads were crying out for it - louder than West Stand fans who are still queuing 24 hours later for a pie and a pint.

This season there are more ways for our favourite away fans to top the table of tripe to become our favourite fans of the season - this year we'll be awarding points out of 20 as follows;

Attendance

Animosity - How much did they hate us on the day?

Repertoire - Their range of songs

'Banter' - One for the Lad Squad - mainly based on their reaction to news of Jimmy Savile fingering their moms

Overall

There'll be bonus points available - up to 10 - for any notable individuals who serve their cause well

and finally, the longer they hold back on the "We All Hate Leeds Scum" chants and "Jimmy Savile" chants, the more points can be gained!

Every week, we'll add the latest post to this post below the league table so you don't have to scroll through - we'll also add to the end of the thread for completeness and comments.

More Class From Radrizzani
The new regime continue to ooze class. Latest is they are in talks with Peter Lorimer to provide full financial support throughout his ongoing battle against brain cancer. What a refreshing change after nearly a generation of rancid despots at the helm. Take a bow Mr Radrizzani.

How did you feel when you scored with your very first touch in the professional game, a rasping drive past David James at Anfield?

Black strip - Great or Shite ?
My other half remarked 'bloody hell they look like a load of skeletons running around the pitch '

Seriously though will that strip be a disadvantage for away evening games under floodlights as I heard a story that the Don changed our strip to all white not to copy/emulate Real Madrid but in order for our players to pick out team mates under floodlights which sounds quite scientifically astute and typically ahead of the game .

This time it's different
When I stood on the terraces watching John Charles I never dreamed I'd be the last one standing.
But here I am 70 years later and still standing. I saw them all and loved them all.
I've seen so much and so many. 'We've had our ups and downs.' Well on my watch we certainly have.
I told my son the main reason I love him was because he reminded me of Allan Smith. My grandkids all saw the first light of day wearing the kit. I even had a stand up artist starting her patter: ' my shrink is an avid Leeds United supporter. I always look out for the results. The year they got relegated I was hospitalized.'
But it's always been with humour and pride. So many great memories. The jokes on the terraces, the feeling that there I wasn't a yid who had to be careful. We were all one and together. 'Who are we?' has one simple answer,' we are Leeds.'  And that is who we are. When I was at Millwall we were segregated and marched through the tube station. One copper told me, 'you don't go there. sir. They're Leeds United Supporters.' I cannot explain the pride I had with my reply ,' so am I.'
It's an honor to play for Leeds United but it's a privilege to support them.
Every game has the same excitement at kick off. Every season has the same buzz and hope as the opening day arrives.
This year is different. We have been pilloried, ransacked and abused. We lived through it. This year is the beginning of something else. And we are all in it for the better times which are surely ahead. And they are.
A great season to us all.

Feeling confident tbh. 0-2.

However, anyone who saw Jim 'One-leg' Beglin's performance at St James's Park in '89  l am cautious.

Pray for Brescia
As we look forward to a brand new season with 11 new players, the ground back under our ownership, good things happening on and off the pitch let's take a moment to think of Italian club Brescia who are about to be bought by the fruitcake cellino.

I don't know what Brescia have done to deserve this but today they and their supporters are about to enter the darkness and despair known only too well to us. So, if you can, spare a moment today to offer a little prayer for the poor people and club of Brescia

Once Bitten ----
I hope some trustworthy sane source can answer my gnawing doubts.
Based on our experiences with pond life and psychopaths anything out of the ordinary makes me apprehensive.
This being so: Just what is this macro -project with us, Qatar and some non entity Spanish team?
There is a lot of thought and money being invested. I really haven't a clue why. Is this super smart or another cockamamie bull shit circumventing and pocket lining episode?
I have an open mind but I remember our escapades in the BVI and the dark alleys of the Bahraini Souk. The memories are traumatic.
Just what is going on?

Roughest grounds
Dont think Ive seen a thread on this before so lets have some stories of roughest/scariest shitholes watching Leeds

Mine by a long way was Ayresome Park BITD

Always thought up there for Leeds was like ER for scum when they came here - everyone was out looking for Leeds fans up at Boro

The walk from coaches down the road by cemetery and then down side of ground into the old corner - scary

No one showing colours and that was in days when everyone did -70/80's

100's of em waiting right outside as we came out, every man for himself, had a few smacks there as a youngster

Was along time before Leeds got comfortable ( questionable tbh) at Ayersome - Riverside cant compare to what that place was like

Cultural Leonesa
According to Alan Nixon from the Sun, we are going to be forming a partnership with Cultural Leonesa in the coming seasons. This would involve us poaching them for their best young talents (and potentially sending out some of ours on loan to allow them to gain invaluable experience).

Cultural Leonesa are currently a Liga 1|2|3 side (Spanish second division) having won their league last season. They went on to beat Barca B and Lorca in their Championship play-off matches.

Interestingly enough they are owned by Aspire Academy which current Leeds director Ivan Bravo is the director general for.

The following article is all about how Aspire have converted Leonesa into a "training club" for Aspire's players. This approach has obviously worked for them as this is the first time they have been in the second Spanish division since the 1974/75 season.
